Collection: GABA Green Tea
GABA green tea is a slightly fermented green tea that contains more GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid) than regular tea, about 150ml or more GABA in 100g of tea. All green tea naturally contains a relatively small amount of GABA (about 30ml in 100g of tea). However, in 1987, the Japanese Tea Research Institute succeeded in increasing the GABA level in tea using a special manufacturing process. Since then, studies of the relaxing effect and a suppression effect on blood pressure of this tea were conducted. The positive results made it popular as a healthy tea.
